  • Ranked as the Top performing CBO/NGO with  A+ Grade for TWO Interventions by the National AIDS Control Organization and Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society on their National Level  Targeted Interventions Evaluation held in the month of January.2014.
  • Received "M.A.Thomas National Human Rights Award" in Hyderabad by Vigil India Movement, Bangalore on 20.Sep.2014.Elected as Joint-Secretary, for Telangana Voluntary Health Services (TVHA) a collective of about 50 NGOs working on various issues in the State for the duration of (2014-2015).

  •  Chaithanya Mahila Mandali(CMM) has been awared as the "BEST CBO LED TARGETTED INTERVENTION FOR HIV/AIDS IN ANDHRA PRADESH STATE " By Andhra pradesh State AIDS Control Society(APSACS), Governmet of Andhra Pradesh on December.1.2013.
  • 2nd May: Ambassador Dr. Eric Goospy, Global AIDS Coordinator, USA, visits CMM, interacts with the team and congratulated CMM for its efforts.
  • 5thApril, New Delhi:  CMM President Ms.Jayamma is awarded "The Mother Terasa Shiromani National Award" by Indian Solidarity Council in association with International Education and Management.
  • 15thFebruary, New Delhi:Ms. Jayamma, CMM's president, received "Excellence Award for National Social Activity for Outstanding Individual Achievements and Distinguished Services to the Nation" by the Global Achievers Foundation India
  • December 2012, January-2013, March-2013: CMM facilitated 277 Members from 8 Community Based Organizations (Staff, Community Leaders ) who had come for a learning site visit to CMM from Karnataka, Maharasta and Ahamedabad States on different occactions



  • Jayamma is recognised as a member of the National CBO experts committee for the finalization of the capacity building training module for NACP-phase-IV
  • Jayamma elected as the State Representative (of Andhra Pradesh) for All India Network of Sex Workers (AINSW)

  • NACO/APSACS make an agreement with CMM to take up HIV/AIDS prevention project in balanager zone in Hyderabad (this is the second program given by the same agency)

  • Jayamma is recognised to be a member of the core committee planning for national AIDS control program phase-IV

  • CMM opens a home for vulnerable children with the aim to prevent, protect and save them from entering into forced prostitution

  • Aircel Cellular Limited makes an agreement with CMM to impart computer and vocational trainings to low economic and vulnerable background communities, such as schools, college drop outs and unemployed youth

  • CMM begins thinking about rehabilitation, categorises women in prostitution into four groups (traditional, star based, executive, forced) and starts focusing on children, girls and women who are forced to practice sex work

  • Legal documentation such as FCRA, 80 G, 12 A and other legal requirements are completed



  • Family Health International makes an agreement with CMM to take up a research study

  • Ranked first in the state on the assessment done by the central joint action committee on the Govt. supported HIV prevention program

  • UNFA & NACO recognise CMM for the best practices of the CBOs in the development sector for female sex workers in India

  • The organisation capacitates CMM members as Trainers of Trainees (ToT), mentors and full time staff to be placed in NGOs

  • Many of the women forced to be in sex work have given up sex work and started working at NGOs as full time staff



  • CMM gains the confidence of APSACS and makes an agreement to take up the HIV prevention project independently just like any other NGO partners in the state



  • Parts of the state level police advocacy with the home minister and the general director of the police become reality with the support of future groups

  • CMM becomes a role model, is active in participation in trainings and is involved in project planning and module preparation of HIV/AIDS prevention programs in Andhra Pradesh



  • Avahan is the first International partner who comes forward to fund “CMM–Clinic”
